Targeted LED Light Therapy for the Poll & Head

The poll and surrounding upper-head regions play an important role in your horse's movement, posture, and everyday comfort.

The LUX Calming Horse Bonnet is designed to provide localized LED light coverage around these areas as part of a comprehensive equine wellness routine.

Poll Region

Provides targeted light exposure around the upper neck and poll area, which is involved in head and neck movement.

Upper Head

Offers localized LED light coverage across suitable areas of the upper head, depending on the bonnet's positioning and fit.

Everyday Relaxation Routines

Can be incorporated into quiet grooming, bodywork, and supervised wellness sessions to help establish a consistent, comfortable care routine.

Although described as a calming bonnet, its ability to reduce anxiety, change behaviour, or produce a sedative effect has not been clinically established.

Red & Near-Infrared LED Light Therapy Explained

The LUX Calming Horse Bonnet uses LED-based photobiomodulation technology.

Red Light Therapy

Visible red light is commonly used in photobiomodulation applications involving superficial tissues and skin wellness.

Near-Infrared Light Therapy

Near-infrared light can penetrate deeper into certain tissues than visible red light and is being investigated for potential applications involving cellular activity and tissue recovery.

Together, these wavelengths provide complementary light exposure across different tissue depths.

Photobiomodulation is an evolving field of research. Outcomes depend on wavelength, irradiance, treatment duration, and individual circumstances. Specific clinical or calming benefits of this bonnet have not been established.

Ideal for Everyday Equine Wellness

The LUX Calming Horse Bonnet can be incorporated into care routines for:

• Performance and competition horses

• Horses in regular training

• Quiet grooming and relaxation sessions

• Poll and upper-head wellness

• Recreational and senior horses

• Complementary equine massage and bodywork

• Veterinarian-supervised rehabilitation routines

Removable, Washable Cover for Easy Maintenance

Designed with the practical demands of everyday stable life in mind, the LUX LED Calming Horse Bonnet features a removable, washable fabric cover.

The cover can be removed for cleaning, helping keep the bonnet fresh and hygienic between sessions.

This is especially useful for equipment used around the horse's head, where contact with hair, dust, and natural oils is common.

Simply remove the outer cover, wash according to the supplied care instructions, and allow it to dry completely before refitting.

Important: Only the removable fabric cover is washable. Never immerse the electronic LED components, battery, or electrical connections in water.

Comfortable, Convenient & Easy to Use

The LUX Calming Horse Bonnet is designed for practical use during supervised, stationary sessions.

Position the bonnet according to the supplied instructions, ensuring a comfortable fit and avoiding direct light exposure to the eyes.

Introduce the bonnet gradually to horses unfamiliar with headwear or light therapy equipment.

Follow the manufacturer's instructions for treatment duration, operation, and safe use.
